Hurley-burly at wedding

Liz Hurley's plans for her dream wedding went awry this weekend when journalists hoping to snap the happy couple got into a fist fight with security guards.

After a low-key celebration at an English castle, Hurley, 41, and her groom Arun Nayar, 42, flew to India to continue the festivities.

But reporters at the Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur, where the couple were hosting a banquet, became embroiled in fisticuffs with bodyguards after they blocked the newlyweds' Bentley, stopping it passing through the gates of the fort.

As a crowd of journalists created gridlock around the car, one of the security guards slapped a female journalist in the face.

Another female journalist reciprocated by slapping another guard and the ensuing tussle lasted for up to an hour, with an angry crowd pitching in.

This untimely violence can hardly have been the gift Hurley was hoping for at her painstakingly planned week-long wedding.

Access to the lavish trans-continental celebrations has been blocked to all journalists, although Hello! magazine has reportedly bought exclusive rights to the couple's wedding photos.
