Handicapped people have learned to get by in a sensory world by employing basic, yet effective methods and tools. But although these methods have worked for a long time, perhaps it’s time to give these tools a makeover. Some clever fellow has done just that with a new type of cane for the blind or visually impaired. Full of gadgets, this cane vibrates and gets stronger the closer it gets to an obstruction. It also has a colour sensor that can tell the user more about the world they come into contact with.
