Little Mix win X Factor
The big event of the weekend, X Factor, saw a group win the competition for the first time.
Since X Factor hit our screens in 2004, groups have never fared well, especially Girl Groups who normally go out in the first week. Although JLS and One Direction have proved that not winning the X Factor doesn't mean an end to your career, with both doing well following the X Factor, in fact sometimes better than the winners!
This years winners, Little Mix, mentored by Tulisa beat Gary Barlow's act, Marcus Collins in the final after Amelia Lily went out on Saturdays show. The group of four girls originally entered the competition as solo singers, but after failing to impress individually at Bootcamp the judges decided that their singing gifts would work well in a group and the rest as they say is history.
Little mix will now be hoping that their version of Damien Rice's Cannonball will give them their first number 1 as a group as well as the much coveted Christmas number 1.
