Everyone is now very familiar with this cute little creature thanks to a certain advertising campaign, but like so many animals the meerkat faces difficulties in the wild. However, now you can help by "adopting" a meerkat, whether it be for yourself or as an unusual gift for a friend. By "adopting" a meerkat you will be helping Meerkat Magic, the only conservation project anywhere in the World that provides protection for wild meerkats.
Adopt a Meerkat contains a welcome letter and loads of fun and informative information about meerkats along with instructions on how to register your "adoption". Once you have registered you will receive a photograph of your meerkat along with a personalised supporter certificate. Plus you will be eligible for discounts on a Meerkat Magic tour as well as receiving updates from Meerkat Magic regularly.

After registration:
You will receive a meerkat photograph and a personalised supporter certificate, dispatched within 28 days of the registration details being received. You will also receive newsletters directly from Meerkat Magic*, giving the latest news of its projects, achievements and conservation plans for the future.

FAQs
How do I register my gift?
You can register your gift online or by post. We recommend that you register online as this speeds up the time it takes for you to receive your certificate and your meerkat photograph. Full instructions on how to register can be found in your registration booklet.
How long do I have to register my gift?
You need to register your gift before the expiry date on your gift registration booklet. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
How long does my adoption last?
Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration.
How long does it take for me to receive my certificate and meerkat photograph?
These will be dispatched within 28 days from the date of registration. Occasionally, factors outside of Gift Republic’s control may affect delivery times.
Can I visit the meerkats?
Meerkat Magic aims for as little impact as possible on the meerkat nature reserve so that they remain true to their natural behaviour. They encourage an 'Observe and Conserve' policy and the animals are completely wild. The meerkat reserve is located in Oudtshoorn, West Cape, South Africa. It welcomes guests for tours at certain times of the year. More information on visiting the meerkats can be found at www.meerkatmagic.com
Does my gift entitle me to anything else?
Yes! If you do decide to visit the meerkats, this gift entitles you to a discount on a Meerkat Magic tour.
