Customised Product RSS Feed
In the months leading up to Christmas we add literally 100's of products each and every week to our site. Keeping track of them all as an affiliate can be the difference between an average Christmas period and a great one. If you get the latest products on site and promoted before anyone else, you can be sure of good search rankings and increased exposure - hopefully leading to increased commission!

This year we have created ANOTHER great tool in order to help make affiliates lives easier with our customised product RSS feed. If you direct your browser to this page: http://www.prezzybox.com/cat/rss.aspx then you will find an RSS feed of all our latest products we have added to the site along with a link to the product page. You can save this RSS feed to your favourite RSS reader, meaning everytime we add or update a product, you will be the very FIRST to know! As you can imagine, this will give you a great competitive advantage when it comes to product reviews, listing products or price comparison.

Customising the Feed
It does not end there though... You can also customise this rss feed in order to give you PERSOANLISED TRACKING DEEP LINKS to each product that is released. By adding a few extra queries onto the end of the URL above, you can get tracking links for whichever network you are on. To make this easier we have created an example below to show you exactly how to do it:

?net=awin - This is your affiliate network. For Affiliate Window Users please use awin and for Paid On Results Affiliates please use por

&affid=15153 - This is YOUR affiliate ID. Please get your ID from your affiliate network account and put the correct digits where the 15153 number currently is.

Step by Step
Step 1.
The URL above will show all the latest Prezzybox products here. It will include the product name, small descriptive text and link to the product on our site. You can add this to your RSS reader if you do not want to customise the product links and get up to date information every time we add a new product: Standard RSS Feed

Step. 2
After you have customised your rss link using the instructions above, you will now get an updated feed which will include your own personal Affiliate Deep Links to each product within the feed. You can then cut and paste these into your website in order to get new products on with minimal fuss and as quickly as possible! Customised RSS Feed

Customising The Feed for Specific Categories
As well as just getting the new products that have been added on site, you can specifiy a specific product category from our site. For example if you run a woman's site, you might want all the gifts from our Gifts for Her category and vice versa for the male focused sites. You might also like to just know about all the drinking gifts, personalised gifts or experience day ranges.

It is possible to tailor the rss feed to a particular category just by adding another query string. First though you will need to know how to find the product category ID you need. This is shown below:

Next you just need to add this to the RSS link above:

Example URL:
http://www.prezzybox.com/cat/rss.aspx?net=awin&affid=15153&cat=4

&cat=4 - This should be replaced by the product category you would like product listings from.

So the above example URL will get you all the products within the Gifts for Her category and provide deeplinks for an affiliate on Affiliate Window with the Affiliate ID of 15153.
