Mothers Day present. Well most mothers that is.
Some Moms are a little better than others, to say the least. While some "bad Moms" are terrible with parenting skills, others are evil incarnate. We therefore thought it would be…erm… interesting, to take a look at 10 terrible Moms! We'll start with the
"nicest" and work our way down to the vilest as we take a look at ten of the most notorious Moms in history…
No.10 - Brittney Spears.
Everyone knows this pop princess who went from having the world at her feet, to having the world laugh at her. We'll make this one short by just saying she lost custody of her two children to none other than douche bag extraordinaire and bad father of the year candidate Kevin Federline. Yes, she actually lost her kids to someone a little trashier than her…
No.9 - Courtney Love.
Courtney is best known for her foul mouthed, drug induced partying ways. She's doting and drug riddled mother to the late, great Kurt Cobains daughter Francis Bean. When Courtney isn't drunk or high, she can actually act. Well, she is good at playing crazy drug addicts, somewhat similar to the character she played as the lead singer of Hole.
No.8 - Joan Crawford.
Joan was married four times, with three divorces and adopted five children. It was rumored she adopted the kids to boost her image, and she later disinherited her two eldest children Christina and Christopher. Her daughter Christina later published the book "Mommie Dearest", which detailed the "alleged" physical and verbal abuse by Crawford. If you saw the movie based on the book, you know what she meant.
No.7 Dina Lohan.
Oh Lindsey, what happened to you…oh yeah your parents. It seems as if her mother, Dina Lohan is constantly in the spotlight trying to "help" her troubled daughter. She's done everything she can to leech from her eldest daughters celebrity, while pressuring her youngest daughter to star in a reality TV show. She recently took a camera crew with her to visit Lindsey in rehab. Dina still denies trying to use her daughters to further her own career.
No.6 – Kate Gosselin.
I'm sure everyone's heard of this Mom from her show "Jon and Kate plus 8." The show was pretty big for a while, and so were the Gosselins. I admit I enjoyed seeing Kate make Jon wither under her gaze at least 5 times per episode. Then I started noticed how nuts she really was, and how much they used the kids for their TV show. Well Kate and Jon got a divorce and Kate is still using the kids for her own career purposes.
No.5 – Nadya Suleman aka Octomom.
This Mom has always given me (and everybody else) the creeps. Not only does she look like a cheap Angelina Jolie, she also loves to have babies. You might think, "Maybe she likes kids?" Well, maybe she's just damned crazy, as the eight she recently had give her a total of 14 children overall. Fourteen kids conceived In-Vitro as a single mother, while she was on government assistance. All this was made worse by the fact that obviously she's loves the fame. I'm sure we'll get to see her try to exploit her children for years to come.
Bet your thinking "Those Mothers are bad, but not evil." If you want some truly evil mothers let's look at the top 4…
No.4 - Kathleen Maddox.
This woman was the Mum of notorious killer Charles Manson. She was a heavy drinker and served five years in prison (along with her brother) for a robbery in 1939. When released, she lived with Charlie in a series of run-down motels and tried to put him in a foster home in 1947. There was no place available, so Manson was put into a home for boys from which he fled after 10 months. Where did he go? To his mother, who in turn rejected him. To go along with that, there is a long-standing rumor that Kathleen actually traded Charlie for some beer to a childless waitress at a bar. Way to go Kathleen…
No.3 - Anna Kallinger.
Anna was the step-mother of another notorious killer Joseph Kallinger. Joseph was put up for adoption after being born and was taken in by the evil Kallinger family. Anna was physically and verbally abusive towards young Joseph and did not allow him to play with other children. She also constantly threatened to castrate him, telling him if he misbehaved she would "Cut off his bird." After being rejected by his birth mother and abused, tormented and ridiculed by his step-mother, Joseph Kallinger went on to murder three people and torture 4 families.
No.2 - Viola Dixon Waugh.
Viola was the mother of yet another serial killer (see a trend here?) named Henry Lee Lucas. Lucas claimed that he was regularly beaten by his mother and forced to watch her have sex with several men. She dressed him in girls clothing and beat him with a wooden plank so hard that he was in a coma for three days. Lucas was once given a mule as a gift from a relative, and his lovely mother shot and killed it. His brother accidentally stabbed him in the eye, while his mother decided to ignore the injury for 4 days, resulting in Lucas receiving a glass eye. To top it off, he was once given a Teddy Bear when he was 8 years old by a teacher at school, only to be beaten by Viola for accepting charity. What a bitch…
No.1 - Belle Gunness.
Records may vary about Belle, but there is no doubt that she was one evil mother. She had at least two children (possibly four) die of mysterious ailments along with her first husband. Belle went on to collect a large insurance settlement on all the dead family members. She remarried Peter Gunness in 1902 and a week later Peter's infant daughter died (of unknown causes) while alone with Belle. Peter also met his demise under suspicious circumstances, and Belle collected another insurance policy.
Her adopted surviving daughter from her first marriage Jennie Olson, claimed to have seen her mother murder Peter, but Belle escaped conviction as she was pregnant. Later Jennie's body was found buried on the property after Belle told neighbors she was at boarding school. Her home caught on fire and when the carnage was over police found around 40 bodies of men and children buried on her farm. To this day it's unknown if she died in a fire or faked her own death as most believe. The bodies of four more of her children were found in the rubble, but the headless body claimed to be Belles was deemed unidentifiable.
I think we can all agree that while not all of the mothers on the list were truly evil, they all deserved to be there. We all have mothers and while we might disagree with them most of the time, after seeing all these terrible mothers, your Mom doesn't seem so bad, does she? Surely she deserves a delightful
Mother's Day gift to let her know just how much you love her!
One thing's for certain, you can't come into this world without one.
