Description
Hovercraft flying is a unique and fun activity that cannot be compared to anything else you may have experienced. You will be shown the skills necessary to operate a race bred hovercraft over a course built purposely for this unique craft. After mastering the basics you will then be able to take to the hover track which features sections on land and water. You will take part in pursuit or relay races against other participants. Then if that isn’t enough there is the ultimate hover craft challenge, see how quickly you can complete a lap. Overall a unique and exhilarating experience.
Itinerary:
After arrival at the centre you will be given a safety briefing and training on the basic skills needed to fly the hovercraft. Then when you are ready you will be shown to the hovercraft. Each location varies in their activity Kent : you will partake in races against other participants after refreshments each contestant will be timed and the final lap will be recorded. At the end of the year the person with the fastest lap will be contacted to claim a free hover course day. Leicestershire : There will be a series of obstacle courses and relay races against other participants. You can expect to spend 3-4 hours at each venue for this activity.
Extra Information:
This exciting experience is for one person and is valid for 10 months. The activity is available on selected Saturdays and Sundays at Kent and all year round in Leicestershire. Participants should be over 12 for Kent and 14 for Leicestershire. At Leicestershire the hovercraft reaches up to 40 mph. The activity course will be shared with between 10-14 people. Previous experience is not necessary. Leicestershire only has the races that are relay based.
