Ice Climbing Experience Day
Description
You’ve tackled the rocks, now it’s time to take on ice climbing! This experience offers an incredible experience to suit a range of abilities from beginners to experts. These ice walls have been created with over one hundred tonnes of snow with there being approximately 300m² of solid ice and are kept at a very cool -12°. They have been built by hand to create several ice faces, complete with bumps and crevices. This offers experience offer beginner slopes and for those professional climbers, you can climb the steep overhangs, vertical courses and confined canyons!
Itinerary:
On arrival, you will be greeted by your instructor who will conduct a full safety briefing and show you different climbing techniques. Then it’s time to get kitted up with all the safety gear and head over to the ice wall. All equipment will be supplied on the day. You will be under strict supervision of an instructor and tuition is on a one to one basis. This experience will last for approximately one and a half hours which will include your introduction and the issuing of the equipment. You will spend a minimum of 40 minutes in the ice tower.
Extra Information:
Your voucher is valid for 10 months. Participants must be a minimum of 13 years old and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. You must be in reasonable health check and able bodied to take part in the climbing. There will be a maximum of 5 climbers per session and tuition is on a one to one basis. It is advised that you wear loose fitted clothing on the day.
