There are millions of stars in our sky that don’t have names allocated to them. It’s a surprisingly small number that are named. This gift box holds all the details you need to know about one of these unnamed stars. All it’s waiting for is a name.
You’ll find out loads about your new star. The gift box contains information on your star’s Right Ascension and Declination (these are the co-ordinates of your star) which will help you to spot it in the heavens. You’ll also get a wall map so you can show your star off to everyone who comes to visit.
It couldn’t be easier to name your star. All you need to do is fill out the form in your gift box or go online following the Gift Registration Instructions in your pack. When naming your star you will also need to give your contact details. Once you’ve registered, your star’s new name will be entered into the Star Registry and you’ll be sent a certificate to confirm its registration.
The list will also be submitted periodically to the British Library to ensure the list is preserved and available to as many people as possible.

Q. Can I call my star anything I choose?
A. Yes, there are no restrictions with star name choice.
Q. How long does it take to receive my confirmation certificate?
A. This depends on how you choose to register your star. If you register online then you will receive your star confirmation certificate within 10 working days. If you fill out and return your form by post then this period of time is slightly increased to 28 days from when the form is received by Gift Republic.
Q. How long do I have to register my gift?
A. Your gift code expires 12 months after the date of purchase. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
