Go Ape! High Wire Forest Adventure

Climb the trees and slide across high wires, crawl through tunnels, cross rope bridges, walk the planks, and zip down to the ground! Go Ape is an award winning high wire forest adventure course with a network of rope bridges, trapezes and zip slides, all set high up in the tree tops. Appealing to a wide age range, customers are fitted with a climbing harness, given safety instructions, and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor, without supervision. Go on… Go Ape and live life adventurously.

Itinerary:

On arrival you will receive a safety briefing and full instruction on how to use the safety equipment. Then it’s off to the tree tops for your Go Ape adventure. Expect to spend 2.5-3 hours on the course. The Grizedale location is not available on Saturdays.

Key information:

• On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months.
• Minimum age: 10 years.
• Minimum height: 1.4m / 4 feet 7 inches.
• Maximum weight: 130kg / 20.5 stone.
• Dates are available weekround from March to October.
• You are advised to book early for weekend dates, especially during school holidays when the courses are particularly popular.
• The Grizedale location is not available on Saturdays.
• Unders 18s must be accompanied by adults as follows; one adult for every two children aged 10-16, one adult for every five children aged 16-17.
• Note on weight and size restrictions: Go Ape operate with Petzl pandion harnesses as they best suit our needs and health and safety requirements.
• The size of this harness dictates the size of customer that we can safely allow to participate on a Go Ape course.
• The maximum waist measurement of the harness is 110cm (43 inches) and the leg loops (which go around the top of your thighs) measure 70 cm (27 inches).
• If your statistics are close to or exceed these figures there is a possibility you may not fit in a harness and therefore will not be able to participate on the Go Ape course.
• (Waist measurements should be taken above the belly button; males weighing 18+ stone (115 kilos,) and females size 18+ are likely to be in this category).
