It lives next to your eggs, wherever you normally keep them, and goes in the pan alongside its eggy brethren. Once the water is beginning to warm up, at about 45 Centigrade the egg will beep to show its working. Once the water begins to boil, the egg will beep again and begin to countdown to the perfect egg.
If you prefer your eggs soft-boiled, listen out for the egg’s tuneful rendition of ‘Killing me softly’ to indicate your egg is cooked to perfection. If you prefer medium boiled eggs, wait to hear the egg sing ‘I Wish I was a Hen’ before taking your eggs out. For those who like their eggs hard, the egg will play the dramatic tune from Caramina Burana (The ominously dramatic classical tune better known as the introduction music for the X-Factor).
