Just plug him in to the USB and his little face will light up. Put some music on and Tengu will sing to you, well he’ll mime anyway. He’ll respond to your voice too. He’ll respond to whatever sounds are going on around him. Tengu has different facial expressions for whatever music he listens to. In fact, you only need to blow on his face to change his expression. He likes this! When there is no sound around or tunes on he’ll go to sleep.

Why your little mate is called Tengu?

A Tengu is a character from Japanese folklore that plays tricks on people and generally gets up to mischief. The name was chosen by the designer Crispin Jones, who explains...

"The early prototypes of Tengu featured some slightly different behaviour which was more aligned with the kind of tricks that Tengus get up to. Later we changed the behaviour of the character, but we really liked the name so it stuck! We plan to introduce some of the more mischevious behaviours into future Tengu characters"

made a nice little stocking filling, but it's great fun for music loving usb gadget fans. The expressions it makes while trying to sing along are really fun to watch.
