Description
This is the perfect exerience day for any beginners or a experienced boats person. This is no easy experience day it is an actioned packed day sailing along the Solent and makes a fantastic gift. Everybody on the boat will get involved in sailying the boat, this includes steering to raising the sails and working on deck. While you are taking part there will be professional skippers and crew memebers to help you ensure you are safe and you make the most of your experience. There is a choice of 2 vessels Whitbread 60 Blueprint midweek or Clipper 60 Taeping at weekends.
Itinerary:
You will need to arrive at 10am when you will meet the crew and sit with a tea or coffee and talk through the boat, health and safety and any questions you may have. Then it’s time to head our into the open area of the Solent in Southampton. The experiences run from 10am until 4pm on selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on the Whitbread 60 Blueprint and on selected Saturdays and Sundays on the Clipper 60 Taeping from April to September. You can take part in sailing the boat or just sit back and relax while everyone else does the work. You will have a lovely lunch on board and then return to Ocean Village around 3.30pm.

Key information:
The voucher you receive will be valid for 10 months and the experience is suitable for anyone over 12. Anyone aged 12 to 17 has to be joined by a full paying parent or guardian. When booking please make sure that you give at least 4 weeks notice to secure a summer date as this is a seaonsal experience. If the weather becomes bad the skipper has the right to cancel or turn the boat back. If the experience does need to be cancelled you will be able to rescheduled. Please note this experience isn't suitable for people who suffer from seasickness.
